Lieber Love

20131113-211121

I’ve been nominated for a Liebster award by the lovely Karina over at her blog http://cheesybiscuit.wordpress.com/  Thank you Karina!

The Liebster award is bloggers way to spread some love.  It’s about saying I like your shit and getting to know different blogs, the blogs they like and nominate and so it goes on.

When nominated you need to answer questions set by the blogger who nominated you, share random facts about yourself, nominate blogs you think are great and create questions for them to answer.

So here goes….

Here are my answers to the questions Karina posed:

1) What’s the worst item of food you’ve ever tasted?

A south western French stew with raw andouillette

2) What’s your favourite book?

Oh a hard one!! So many for different reasons but if I have to choose just one,  The Picture of Dorian Gray.

3) If you could wake up tomorrow somewhere other than where you are right now, where would that be?

Chianti, Italy.

4) Who (or what) makes you laugh?

Lots of things that shouldn’t and my husband.

5) What thing do you do less, that you actually think you should do more often?

Sleep. Children do that to you.  After spending many years happily depriving myself I know understand why its used as a method of torture.

6) Christmas: yay or nay?

Yay, every time!

7) Favourite quote, or piece of advice?

Again, a hard one.  I’ve read so many good quotes and advice recently. The one quote that has stayed with me since I first read it as a teenager is;

“The important thing is this: To be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become.” Charles Dubois

8) Marmite or marmalade?

Marmite.

9) Rice or couscous?

Rice. One of the most important foods in the world and gluten-free, unlike couscous.

10) Favourite thing to do to relax?  And, ahem, keep it clean, people…

Friends, music, reading, writing, wine and cooking (combinations of).

Random facts about me:

I won a competition on Saturday Superstore.

I’ve been stuck in two broken down lifts.

I don’t like fish, except scallops if there not too fishy!

I was once a Marketing Week Rising Star

As a child I was bitten by a horse and three dogs!

I have a cook book addiction.

I believe we all define and create our own happiness and success.

I have to stop and remember if someone asks me my age.

I can touch the end of my nose with my tonge.

I have been known to get  fits of giggles at times when I really shouldn’t..

The blogs I nominate to pay it forward:

http://barevitality.com

http://gennileehester.com

http://cookingthemhealthy.co.UK

http://katiechasemartin.wordpress.com

http://auparisblog.wordpress.com

http://lordoftheplate.wordpress.com

My questions…

What, where and with whom was your best best meal?

Why did you start blogging?

Favourite artist? (e.g. musical, conceptual, dramatic, your choice of discipline)

What is your favourite cookbook?

what would you tell your 13 year old self?

What are you most grateful for?

What is the post your most proud and why (link please)?

Who or what has inspired you most to write or whilst writing your blog?

If you had to choose winter or summer sun?

What’s made you smile today?

On the subject of laughing at things one shouldn’t: I hope the 3 dogs/one horse reference wasn’t all at the same time! What a nightmarish (yet potentially comedic) scenario!
