All Neal’s Yard products are organic and free from chemical nasties and most are also gluten-free.
It’s ironic and I think pretty crazy, that so many beauty products are full of chemicals and ingredients that can cause so much harm but we happily put them on our scalps and skin, the biggest organ of our body that quickly absorbs ingredients in to our blood stream.

Many of the substances used in make up, hair and facial produces are also used in industrial manufacturing to clean industrial equipment, stabilize pesticides and grease gears.
It’s a no brainer that an ingredient that effectively cleans a garage floor may is not what you want to be putting on your face every day.
Using Neal’s Yard products has been a god send for me. I have struggled to find beauty products that don’t contain toxins such as Parabens and Phthalates and gluten.

No mineral oils – derived from petroleum, and have a tendency to block the skin
No parabens – these are linked to hormonal imbalances
No GM ingredients – not enough is known about possible long-term implications
No phthalates – it’s reported they have toxic impact on humans and animal life
No propylene glycol – derived from petroleum
No animal testing – unnecessary and cruel
No DEA – associated with known carcinogens
No EDTA – (powerful metal chelator), and doesn’t biodegrade readily
No acrylates – derived from petroleum
No nano – not enough is known about its long term implications
No BHT – linked to breathing and lung impairment
No Gluten*- associated with Celiac disease, gut and immune disorders
