Hello
The sun is shining. England’s winning in the football and this is the first post from my renamed blog, Tabitha’s EDIT. Exciting times. I will still be posting about food, (see below for a super easy slaw I’ve been eating with just about everything) and separately with my picks on the latest from the worlds of fashion and design … or perhaps you could call them (I’m now whispering) online shopping picks!
Whichever way you want to spin it, I’m pretty obsessed with fashion and design and and now I’ll also be sharing with you my latest top finds. Hopefully, if you like me are a fellow shopaholic or even if you loathe shopping of any kind, these new posts will save you a lot of time and effort as I pick out the best online has to offer.
A little taste of some future posts….
With the onset of this amazing weather, I’ve gone a bit slaw crazy. Inspired by the fantastic LEON original cookbook, by the incredible talent that is Allegra Mc Evedy, I’ve been busy with different varieties and flavours and enjoying them with salad, cold meat, hot meat, pretty much every meal you can think of. One particular one, (the simplest) has been a huge hit, especially with my biggest critics, my immediate family. The girls and even the other half can’t get enough of this slaw (see recipe) below. Which is amazing and super handy as it take mins to whizz together and is a great go-to to take out and about to picnics, BBQ’s, days out or lunch in the office and it also happens to be healthy, and grain and dairy free.
Super Slaw
Blitz the following in a food place or grate or finely slice;
1 x Savoy cabbage
1 x small red onion
4 or so carrots
1 x cup of frozen petit pois
Dress with
A few sprigs of thyme, pick off the leaves (this is the magic ingredient)
Raw apple cider vinegar (approx. 1 table spoon), extra virgin olive oil (approx. 1.5 tablespoons), juice of 1/2 a lemon and Himalayan salt to taste. I tend to mix the quantities of these around a bit seasoning it to taste it as I go along. Enjoy!
